Probate Court

Each city and town within the State of Rhode Island handles their own probate. It is not done on a county level. The Charlestown Probate Court is held the third Monday of each month at 9:30 a.m. at the Town Hall. All petitions that do not require advertising or those that are on waiver should be submitted to the Town Clerk by noon on the Wednesday preceding the Court session. The required fees must accompany all petitions.
