SUMMER EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES – 2026

The Town of Charlestown Parks & Recreation Department is now accepting applications for Summer 2026 seasonal positions. Join our team and help support our parks, beaches, programs, and community events!

POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

Seasonal Summer Assistants – Full-time | $23/hr. Assist with daily operations, facilities, special events, and three Town beach operations. Early May–mid September. Must be 18+.

Beach Managers – Full-time $16/hr. | Part-time weekend positions available Supervise beach operations, staff, and revenue collection. Must be 18+.

Lifeguards – Full & Part-time | $20/hr. Must hold current RI Lifeguard, Surf, CPR, First Aid & AED certifications. Must be 16+.

Beach Attendants – Full & Part-time | $16/hr. Parking, traffic control, facility support, and cleaning. Must be 18+.

Ninigret Camp Supervisor – Full-time | $20/hr. Oversee summer playground program for ages 5–12. Must be 18+.

Ninigret Camp Counselors – Full-time | $16/hr. Work directly with children in camp programs and activities. Must be 16+.

All Beach positions require availability on weekends and holidays including Memorial Day, Independence Day, Victory Day/Bay Day, and Labor Day weekends. Camp positions are from the end of June to the 2nd week in August.
