Section-9 Charlestown River~Watch.

 

 

This is a element of Charlestown EMA. This program was insituted in April 2008 to react to State of Rhode Island EMA requests for situational awareness, in regards to Real-Time Flooding and Dam Structural Status.

  2. Emergencies = Call 911
  3. Established 24/7 CEMA Emergency Contact = Operations Officer Andy Checchia 401.641.1262  
  4. Conducted meetings with Harbormaster.
  5. Conducted talks with Richmond EMA Director.
  6. Started Program.
  7. 2016/ Need more Riverfront Homeowners... Original ones all have moved.

  1. In Progress Phase-1 (Enlist -More- Charlestown Homeowners with a clear view of the Pawcatuck River, which is Charlestown's Northern Boundary)
  2. In Progress Phase-2 (Enlist Frequent Users of Pawcatuck River to include Recreational Users and Conservation Groups)
  3. In Progress Phase-3 (Enlist Delivery Route Drivers who frequently view and/or cross the Pawcatuck River or drive pass any Charlestown Dam Locations)
