The Charlestown Senior Citizens Commission Introduces LIFEWISE!

This fall, join us for this 6-week speaker series that is designed to inform senior citizens and their families on the diverse challenges they may encounter while navigating their continued independence. Each session will cover essential topics, providing valuable insights and practical advice to help seniors maintain their autonomy and quality of life. 

 

Attend ALL of them or only ONE.  It's your choice!  Stay informed and empowered on this important journey!

  • September 24 - We hear all the Community Center and Southern Rhode Island Volunteers have to offer!  
    • At the Charlestown Senior Center in Ninigret Park
  • October 2 -  DVRCSC - Of the 5 categories of domestic abuse, Financial and Emotional Abuse is the most prevalent for Seniors.  Learn the signs.
    • At Cross Mills Library - 4417 Old Post Rd, Charlestown, RI 02813
  • October 9 -  Hear from PACE - what are your options?  Have a listen, and decide later!

  • October 16 - Ocean State Center for Independent Living wants you to stay at home - but you should still come by and learn how.

  • October 23 - St. Vincent De Paul, we learn more about what they can do as well as what they need.

  • October 30 - Charlestown Police Department offers you an education in avoiding SCAMS!  Email, phone, solicitation... they cover it all.
