Charlestown Climate Resilience Commission will host a discussion on Wildfire Safety & Mitigation in the Council Chambers at Town Hall. The discussion will focus on strategies the Town can implement to mitigate risks within the community and explore collaborative efforts between the Town and the State to address risk on state-owned open spaces within Charlestown.

 

 

* Forestry: State plans for Burlingame north and south of Buckeye Brook Road, and options for managing Town-owned lands.

* Prescribed burns: The process, permitting, and scheduling for both Town and State lands.

* Access/Fire roads: Maintenance and construction on Town and State lands.
