Ninigret Barrier Beach Habitat Restoration Project

The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) and Save The Bay are working to restore and protect dune and salt marsh habitats at Ninigret Barrier Beach (East Beach). The project focuses on removing invasive plants, restoring natural tidal creeks, and improving habitat for nesting and migratory birds and other wildlife.

The beach remains open to the public, but visitors are asked to follow posted signs and stay on designated trails and in parking areas.
