Chariho District Financial Referendum (04/07/2026 - 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.) in the Council Chambers at the Charlestown Town Hall
Residents of the Towns of Hopkinton, Richmond, and Charlestown are invited to participate in the Chariho Regional School District Financial Referendum to vote on the proposed annual school budget.
Date: April 7th, 2026
Time: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Location: Charlestown Town Hall, 4540 South County Trail, Charlestown, RI 02813
Ballot Question:
“Should the school district’s annual budget for the upcoming school year, as approved by the Regional School Committee, be accepted?”
A “YES” vote indicates approval of the proposed school budget.
A “NO” vote indicates rejection of the proposed budget.
Purpose:
This referendum will determine whether the school district may proceed with its planned expenditures for the upcoming school year. If the budget is not approved, the district may be required to revise the proposal and present it for a subsequent vote.
