A Message from Town Administrator Jeff Allen Regarding the New Haven to Providence Study

A message from Town Administrator, Jeff Allen:

I wanted to share some information with the community regarding the New Haven to Providence Capacity Planning Study.

As Town Administrator, I have been selected to participate on the study’s Advisory Committee. I will be attending the first meeting on October 14th in New London, Connecticut.

The study is examining opportunities to improve rail capacity and performance along the New Haven to Providence corridor. My participation will provide an opportunity to bring Charlestown’s perspective to the planning process and to stay informed as the study moves forward.

For those interested in learning more about the study and opportunities for public input, I have included the letter from Amtrak regarding my selection to the Advisory Committee, along with information about the study and how residents can participate.
