Notice is hereby given that the Charlestown Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday June 24, 2026, at 7:00 pm at the Charlestown Town Hall Council Chambers, 4540 South County Trail, Charlestown, RI to review, discuss, and potentially act upon the Unified Development Review of the Administrative Subdivision application for Assessor’s Plat 29, Lots 2 & 3-10.

The relief being sought from the Charlestown Zoning Ordinance is from Section 218-41, Dimensional Table. Dimensional requirements for the R3A zone require three (3) acres per dwelling unit. There are two (2) dwelling units existing on Lot 3-10, and the proposed application would reduce the lot area for Lot 3-10 from six (6) acres to three (3) acres, a variance from dimensional requirements of three (3) acres.

The applicants are also seeking administrative subdivision approval for merging the rear three (3) acre portion of Lot 3-10 with Lot 2. No additional lots will be created by the subdivision.

All persons interested in the above are respectfully requested to be present at the time and place to be heard thereon. Plans and materials are available for review at the Planning Department Office at Town Hall during normal business hours Monday Through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The application may be revised by the Planning Commission as a result of further study or because of views expressed at the public hearing.
