Charlestown 250th Semiquincentennial Committee

In 2026, the United States of America will celebrate its 250^th birthday. The Town of Charlestown, along with every community in the nation, will celebrate our country’s birthday with a year-long celebration of parades, events, fireworks and ceremonies. The Town of Charlestown has assembled a fantastic committee of residents, business owners, school district employees and local historians to develop a year-long program that celebrates the last 250 years of history in Charlestown.

We encourage any resident and community member who wish to be a part of this celebratory committee to reach out to the committee chairman. The committee meets on the 4^th Thursday of every month in the Town Council chambers at 4:30pm. Our committee meetings are open to the public and we welcome further community involvement as we work to finalize our plans for 2026.
